Dear readers,

So the monsoon has indeed failed! Why and how did it happen? The answers are not so easy. As on 14th August the deficit was –24 percent all over the country. That is indeed

alarming with the parched earth calling for sustenance! Different scientists have different reasons which they cite as the possible cause of an erratic monsoon. So we have decided to dedicate this issue to the monsoon. Yes, we need to understand its intricate dynamics before jumping at the throat of the poor weatherman.

Why only the monsoon, do you ever hear your grandmother complaining of days hotter or perhaps colder than she ever remembered? Well before dismissing her irritability, it would

be worthwhile to dwell on the ominous truth of climate change. In this issue we bring you a short essay on what seems to be causing these changes.

Back again to precious water. Groundwater is a commodity that needs to be addressed so that we may respect it and help its replenishment. The potential of this resource in our country is enormous…only if we take care of it. And once again thank you for all you love and blessings. We do realize that it is uphill task to try and get the youngsters of today to move away from glitzy stuff to a dedicated cause such as ours. Share us with your friends so that all of you may join the mission towards a cleaner and better India.

With your support we will surely make a difference.
