Ooty, now Udhagamandalam is about 7500 feet above sea level. The summer capital of Madras Presidency the city, in places, still bears resemblance to the erstwhile era. The present day constructions that extend along every conceivable slope in the surrounding region, look sturdier, but lack romance and character that the forests ignite and stand out sorely.
Abstract: I was looking for a break from my typical Mumbai schedule and was for a while nursing a deep longing to visit the Nilgiris, having heard so much about its mysterious beauty and sparkling waterfalls. Sharing my views, I found a mate in my husband, who not only agreed but booked an expedition for the very next day.
